Pensioners Link was established in 1988 and was the vision of two pensioners, Alan Taylor and Peter Kenny.

They believed that, provided older people are given the necessary information and advice, with support at difficult times, they would be able to remain independent.

An important element of their vision was to see organisations and people linked together so as to provide maximum benefit to people.
